Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for portraying naive characters that are engaging and relatable. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado. Adams began performing and dancing professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then at the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to a regional theatre located in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a documentary mock-up concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). After making her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant, she relocated towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband was actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and was offered a contract to be a part of MGM during the 1940s. In the 1960s, she appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
